How Vibe analyzers were used

Compares two cost-effective RGB seed imaging workflows (SmartGrain vs. the automated Cgrain Value) to predict Fusarium head blight severity from wheat seed morphology and color traits.

Study overview

The study evaluates image-analysis approaches for screening Fusarium head blight (FHB) on winter wheat seeds by extracting 16 morphological and color traits from RGB images. Using 432 greenhouse-inoculated genotypes, prediction performance from SmartGrain and Cgrain Value is compared against visual disease scores, with combined features improving accuracy.
