The United States Standards for Corn, maintained by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (7 CFR §§ 810.401-810.405), define grade factors including damaged kernels (heat, ground, weather, disease, frost damage), broken corn and foreign material (BCFM), and test weight. Vibe workflows can measure some of the same visual characteristics — damaged kernels, broken corn, and foreign material — for internal comparison and visual screening. Characteristics outside image-based measurement require the applicable official or laboratory method, and this does not constitute an official USDA grade.
