ISO 7301 sets the minimum specification for rice (Oryza sativa L.) in international trade, covering husked and milled rice, aromatic or not, parboiled or not, intended for direct human consumption. It defines organoleptic, physical, and chemical characteristics along with methods for determining extraneous matter, broken kernels, and defective kernels. Vibe imaging workflows quantify broken grain, chalkiness, and whiteness to the same parameters the standard references.
