About this standard

CXS 199-1995 sets quality and safety requirements for wheat and durum wheat intended for direct human consumption, including defect limits, contaminant provisions, and hygiene requirements. Vibe workflows can measure kernel defects and foreign material for internal comparison and visual screening — the visual portion of what the standard classifies wheat against. Characteristics outside image-based measurement require the applicable official or laboratory method, and this does not constitute an official Codex determination.
